Leslie Hyland is serving on the Board of Directors for her second year. A mother of Anvil students and alumnae, Leslie loves the organization and is devoted to the mission of forging boys into men. 

With 12 years as an elementary school teacher and three years as a middle school teacher, Leslie brings educational experience and a long-term teacher's perspective. Leslie has taught in a variety of settings from public education to homeschool-hybrid school. As an educator, Leslie loves developing curriculum and seeing learning flow across disciplines. As a Christian, Leslie is passionate about mentoring and discipling middle school children and grounding them in truth. She currently mentors middle school girls with SHINE and BeSeen Ministries, and has served with Bible Study Fellowship, teaching students for over 18 years. 

 Leslie’s heart for the Lord, and His truth and grace in her own life, drive her deep love and care for people. She sees her service on the Anvil board as another way to love and serve a community that has had a huge impact on her family.
