    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Governance

    • Participate actively in board meetings, providing input and insights on key organizational decisions.

    • Contribute to the development and review of the organization's strategic plan.

    • Exercise fiduciary responsibility by overseeing the financial health of The Anvil Academy.

    • Review financial statements, budgets, and financial policies.

    Committee Participation

    • Collaborate with board committees (e.g., finance, governance, development) to address specific organizational needs.

    • Participate in committee meetings and initiatives.

    Advocacy and Networking

    • Act as an ambassador for The Anvil Academy, promoting its mission and values in the community.

    • Leverage personal and professional networks to support fundraising and partnerships.

    Resource Mobilization

    • Contribute to fundraising efforts by making personal financial contributions, participating in donor cultivation, and assisting with grant applications.

    Risk Management

    • Work with fellow board members to identify and mitigate risks to the organization.

    Collaboration with Executive Leadership

    • Engage with the Executive Director and other executive leaders to understand organizational priorities and challenges.

    • Provide guidance and support to executive leadership as needed.

    • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance board effectiveness.
