Adventure Teacher - Dawsonville Campus

  • The Adventure Teacher at The Anvil Academy brings energy and adventure to the creation of instructional experiences for middle-school boys. The Adventure Teacher joins a dynamic team of professionals and is directly responsible to the Campus Director.

    • Passionately follow Christ and intentionally attend to his/her personal, professional and spiritual development

    • Creatively design and execute high-interest, high-activity, adventure-based experiences that extend the historical content being taught.

    • Guide students with a love for the scripture that is engaging and communicates biblical content through developmentally appropriate pathways 

    • Actively research, create and deliver learning experiences based upon

    • Manage a supply budget and creatively use resources to maximize experiences for student growth

    • Chart student growth and communicate with parents about progress and areas for support

    • Ensure that the statement of vision, mission, core values and objective reflects the academic, social, and co-curricular goals of the school 

    PRACTICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • 10-Month, Full-Time Instructional Responsibilities

      • August - May (Days and Hours)

        • Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 4:00

          • Monday (collaborative planning, curriculum design, personal preparation, supply acquisition)

          • Tuesday - Friday (Teacher, Mentor, Discipler)

      • Forge Nights / Fund-Raising Support

        • Fall Semester

          • 1 Forge Night (Admissions Event) in the Fall Semester (6:00 - 8:30pm)

          • 1 Fund Raising Event in the Fall Semester

          • Two-night Fall Overnight Retreat 

        • Spring Semester 

          • 1 Forge Night

          • 1 Fund Raising Event in the Fall Semester

Culinary Teacher - Cumming Campus

  • The Culinary Teacher at The Anvil Academy brings vision, energy and execution to the creation of daily lunch experiences in the Anvil Food Lab. The Culinary Teacher joins a dynamic team of professionals and is directly responsible to the Campus Leader. 

    • Passionately follow Christ and intentionally attend to his/her personal, professional, and spiritual development

    • Plan a menu that creatively coincides with the cultural, geographic and culinary distinctives of the people groups being studied. 

    • Lead Anvil students through the daily creation and enjoyment of the planned menu. 

    • Manage a supply budget and creatively use resources to maximize culinary experiences for students.

    • Lead the resourcing and acquisition of ingredients and supplies needed for daily lunch classes.

    • Manage the Anvil Food Lab and ensure a safe and clean environment. 

    • Lead a small team of high school Apprentices who will serve as a culinary support team.

    • Actively research, create and deliver learning experiences based upon

    • Work collaboratively with the Campus Team to do the work of discipling middle school boys into strong young men.

Chief Operating Officer

  • The Chief Operating Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence across all functions of the organization. Working closely with the Executive Director, the COO ensures that strategic initiatives are translated into effective, day-to-day operations across all campuses to further Anvil’s mission of Forging Men. This role is central to overseeing financial stewardship, information technology, facilities and donor management. The COO will also play an active role in community engagement and event management. The candidate must demonstrate a mature Christian faith and align with the Core Values of The Anvil Academy. This position will report to the Executive Director.
